First you should determine the purpose why you are getting a Westie… for companion or for taking it to dog shows? If the second, you should go through all breed standards and look for them when choosing the pup.
Second, make sure if you want a male or female dog. Many customers prefer females, due to the general fact that they are less aggressive, but in this case, you have to pay attention to avoiding pregnancy if you don’t plan to have puppies.
